Why Instagram followers drop after an order, and how refills work

You placed a follower order, watched the count climb, and a week later some of those followers were gone. It's frustrating, but it's also one of the most common things that happens after a follower order. Here is why it happens, what refill cover actually does, and how to request a refill from your dashboard.

Why follower counts drop after an order

Every Instagram account loses followers over time, including accounts that have never bought a single one. People unfollow, deactivate their profiles, or get removed. A follower order adds a large batch of followers in a short window, so any cleanup that touches that batch is easy to spot.

The most common reasons:

1. Instagram cleans up inactive and spam accounts. When an account is removed, it disappears from every follower list it was on, including yours.
2. Accounts get deactivated. Some accounts that followed you will be deactivated or deleted by their owners, which takes them out of your count.
3. Everyday unfollows keep happening. Your normal unfollow rate doesn't pause while an order runs.

A refill is a top-up. If your follower count falls below the amount you ordered, a refill sends followers again to bring the order back up.

Refill cover always comes with limits:

• A window. Cover lasts for a set period after the order, such as 30 days. The option name or its refill terms tell you how long.
• A ceiling. Refills restore up to the amount you ordered. They don't add extra followers on top.
• One request at a time. While a refill request is being handled, you can't open another one for the same order.

Options without refill cover don't include top-ups at all, so check the refill terms before you choose.

How to request a refill

Refill requests start in your dashboard:

1. Open Orders and select the order.
2. Wait until the order shows as completed. Refills aren't available while delivery is still running.
3. If the order qualifies, the order page shows a Request refill button. Select it and the refill is sent for processing straight away.
4. Follow the refill status on the same order page.

If the button isn't there, the order page tells you why: the order may still be in progress, the option may not include refill cover, a refill may already be under way, or the window may have closed. If something still looks wrong, open a support ticket from the order page so the team can check it with the order details in hand.

How to keep drop-off low

You can't stop platform cleanups, but you can avoid making things worse:

• Choose an option with refill cover if steady numbers matter to you.
• Keep your profile public and your username unchanged until the refill window closes.
• Order in proportion to your account. A small account that jumps by tens of thousands overnight looks out of place to visitors.
• Keep posting. Followers shape a first impression. Regular posts are what give new visitors a reason to stay.
